They call him Captain Apache, a redskin in cavalry blue. He's investigating the death of an agent and his last words "April Morning". A somewhat of a detective story gathering clues here and there about the meaning of "April Morning"

A U.K/USA/Spain co-production eurowestern, having a reputation of being an awful movie. My expectations wheren't high. It's clearly not one of Lee Van Cleef's better western. Boring and a bit difficult to follow, some strange editing cuts, Van Cleef's wig and singing. The whole idea of casting Van Cleef as a indian Union Army captain is something not to take seriously. It's watchable but surely no enjoyment. The "April Morning" song, sung by Van Cleef is horrible, the main song "Captain Apache" is better when Lee only reads the lines, not try to sing.

Anyway not a total disaster, Van Cleef is always fun to watch for fans of him. Don't expect too much and take it as a comedy and you won't be too much dissapointed, it might even suprise you.

Some dialogue:

Maude: "-Ok, Redass! What's so important about April Morning?"

Captain Apache: "-Every time I get a lead on April Morning somebody gets killed."
